Challenge:
This course was redesigned from a lecture based course into a fully online experience. It includes podcasts, videos, interactive games, discussion boards, and group projects to increase engagement. It is a 10-week online News & Media Literacy Class developed for college freshman to satisfy the social and behavioral sciences requirements at Texas public universities. It is also appropriate for upper level high school students.
Technology used:
Canvas Learning Management System.
Results: Overwhelmingly positive
